Get ready to Bust a Move for Breast Health!

Gather up your best pals and get your costumes ready – it’s Bust a Move time again! If you’ve ever participated in or given to Bust a Move, you know what a one-of-a-kind event this is. Bust a Move is a day full of fun workouts, laughter, and creativity – all in an effort to promote breast health, and raise much-needed funds for the new Breast Health Centre located in the IWK.

Since Bust a Move started fundraising for the Breast Health Centre, the community has rallied together to contribute over $3.9-million. Located at the IWK Health Centre, patients visiting the new Breast Health Centre will benefit from a collaborative environment as physicians, nurses, specialists, technologists and oncologists come together to offer the best patient focused care possible.

With funds raised from Bust a Move 2014, the Breast Health Centre will develop dedicated patient care clinic rooms. These rooms will be flexible; meaning any of the breast health services team can use the space to support their patient’s care.

If you plan to join and raise funds this year for Bust a Move, know that you are providing breast health patients with a space completely dedicated to accommodating their care and consultations. By participating, you will ensure a more convenient and comforting experience for patients when they need it most.
